In Memoriam
Irving Goldstein, 91, of Lady Lake, Florida, passed away on October 20, 2025. Born March 12, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, Irving was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a pillar of every community he called home.
Irving spent thirty-eight years as a civil engineer in New York City before retiring to The Villages area with his wife Sylvia, to whom he was married for sixty-four years. He was an active member of Congregation Beth Israel, an avid golfer, and an even more avid reader of anything about World War II history. His grandchildren remember him for the stories he told without ever making himself the hero of them.
He is survived by his beloved wife Sylvia; his children Robert (Diane) Goldstein of Boca Raton and Ellen (Mark) Shapiro of Tel Aviv; and five grandchildren who were the great joy of his final years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Congregation Beth Israel, Lady Lake, or a charity of your choice in Irving's memory.
